SPORTS @ NSIT

NSIT has great sports facilities so that ‘would be’ engineers can enjoy various sports and keep themselves physically fit n active :

NSIT has a decent sports reputation. As far as games with large playing grounds are concerned, for instance , cricket and football , NSIT has a pretty large field having the capacity to hold a grand sports meet.

Table Tennis

Location : COE/IT block 3rd floor. NSIT has very good facilities for Table Tennis and a large number of young talented players. You will be amazed to see the quality of table tennis at display ( Dekhte hi reh jaoge !).Please bring your own racquet.

Gym

Location : COE/IT block 3rd floor. Exclusively meant for our would be Arnie bhais, Stallones and Dara Singhs. For those who are concerned with physical fitness, stamina and want to keep their body in shape (depends on what shape you like your body to be in, spherical , golu-molu, potatoe like :-) ) NSIT offers a gymnasium with the latest equipments ( the best thing it’s on the 3rd floor, so you are half done in just reaching there!!). You can do bench- presses , abs, biceps , triceps building exercises . Incidentally , gym also house a whole lot of indoor game facilities : Carrom and Chess ( for wannabe Humpys Anands , Kasparovs)

Basketball

The basketball court is located behind the parking lot for staff members. Often there is a match going there with the general cheering and noise i.e. the un-separable part of the game. Sometimes the court is also used for playing Cricket ( Its anybody’s guess who is fielding here at the time of ragging !!).

Football

More popularly known as Footy … this is a soccer crazy college , with people having extra ordinary knowledge and craze of the sport. “One sport to find ‘em , one sport to bind ‘em all". It’s soccer !!

Cricket

Located behind the Library. This is a cricket crazy nation and our college is not so different.But it needs fair amount of courage to play in that supposedly "cricket" ground (go and find out why??), still students enjoy playing there.

Volleyball

Its is located near the cricket ground. You can try your hand at the game but you can’t get away with aching palms ! Enjoy.

Tennis

It is too located near the cricket ground. So Mr. Federer ready for the match point !!

Psstt : Those interested in pool/snooker need to go to Kakrola Mode there are a couple of Pool Centers out there ( Charges 50 per table per hour (pool) )
